Kayak produced a fantastic master list of airline fees to help you understand where airlines may catch you with your pants down. The table lists every major airline with their fees for checked baggage, meals, pets, unaccompanied minor service, and seat assignment fees. You can filter the table by airline, using check boxes on the right, to help you compare a fewer number of airlines head to head. Finally, underneath each airline it’ll list when the data was updated.

Southwest, our favorite airline because of cheap fares and many options out of our home airport of BWI, doesn’t charge for the first two bags and no charge for snacks. And their flight attendants are cool to boot!
